His Space

PAINT IT BROWN: "They make great, complex, sophisticated colors," Marinelli says of the Pratt & Lambert paint he chose for the apartment. “It’s a beige, but it’s a green, but it’s a brown.” He went one shade darker in the kitchen and three shades darker in the bedroom. “That keeps them harmonious, but each room still has its own identity.” He also stained the floors ebony.

HER TAKE ON HIS PLACE: “It is definitely masculine,” says Dormer. “The living room seems like a formal sitting room from the 1800s. He tried to go for more of a balance, with the two sofas, the two tables with the two lamps, while mine is more off-kilter.”
