What the View From the Standard Will Look Like If It Ever Opens

This morning, the blog Guest of a Guest revealed some shots from the inside of the soon-to-complete Standard Hotel, in the meatpacking district. From the look of the shots, every floor of Andre Balazs's new place is going to show an impressive vista of the city — but there's still a long way to go. (The Standard Website has images that are updated every fifteen minutes.) The hotel, which was announced in 2004, has no set opening date at this time. But when it does open, let's hope it's sunny, because that view will be spectacular on a clear day.
