This new men’s shop is of the artfully cluttered junk-shop genre (John Derian, Freemans Sporting Club), but packed in among the intentionally dusty vases and busts is an extremely well-curated selection of men’s clothing and accessories. Steven Alan’s shirts are here, but so are the store’s own, which are made from Japanese cotton ($160) or tropical wool ($220). There’s also denim from Jean Shop (jeans for around $250) and pieces from local and less well-known designers, like leather goods from Billy Kirk. The store’s private label includes belts, ties, and hand-knitted scarves and caps; jackets and trousers are coming in the fall. The odds and ends (old leather-strap watches for $295) and Santa Maria Novella fragrances like Cuban cigar, Spanish leather, and sandalwood are also well chosen.
